Default Troll Management: Handling Conspiracy Theorists on a Forum

I’m finding more and more requests for advice on dealing with internet drama, and who, I ask, is more qualified to deal with that very tricky subject than moi? Once upon a time, when you did a search for “Internet Drama” my blog was the third hit, and trust me, I earned that spot. Most of the people who have more experience with it than I do are too ashamed to admit it, and who can blame them? Not me, that’s for sure, because thanks to their shyness, I’ve gotten more than one consulting gig helping people put out forum fires and comment conflagrations.

When I make up a lie and can not back out of it, I will just say I am leaving town for a funeral and that should cover up the lie.

I apologize. Here are a few pills to sooth the headache:

I got through the first paragraph, and when I hit the Illuminati, I quit. Anything that is depicted in a FICTION book (ie. Illuminati from Angels and Demons) isn't gonna hold my attention. LOL

It only takes a couple minutes to read. It explains how to handle a certain member who keeps spewing conspiracy garbage on the board. I think it should be made a sticky!!

I read it, and here's what it says in three easy points:

If someone rants on and on at a party or online forum,
    1, either ignore him,
2, pass him on to someone else
3, distract him with a topic like a hobby or something else he's proud of.

Wow Evil Monkey, no wonder you are so experienced in these kind of things when it took you 500 words to say that...
Do you work for a living? Between writing these novel-sized posts and working, when do you have time to sleep?

If you indeed read the entire article you will see the link that I copy and pasted this article from. So in summary of your post your skills in comprehension of reading then summarizing deserves and E for effort anyways.

His original post was a cut and paste. Taking less time to post than if he were to type of your three easy points.
