I have always wondered why some so called 'musician' wants to downplay the talent or impact that some professionals have had. Jealousy is one of them i would imagine. Just becuase you dont like a certain band, really no reason to downplay their impact.

i will listen to an opinion of someone that i find creditable and logical. For someone to tell me that Ace has no talent and needs to hide it by wearing make up and spandex to me, is not really logical. PRetty stupid sounding to me.

There is lots of good musicians in here, not sure why they havnt responded, but that is fine, there has been some very good responses to it that i do find crediable, and a bunch that are just laughable.
strumming a guitar, reading a few notes DOES NOT make anyone a 'musician'...self proclaimed maybe....but not in the real sense..i have "listened" , practiced on various instuments all my life..but i definitely would nt classsify myself as a musician...i just admire
"true" influential musicians that have grooved me over the years...and ace aint one

you stated originallity .. there was noone more original that Ace .. his sound, noone can match it.

but you are right .. Ace had a huge impact on alot of great players
where did thewy get this poll from....italy? no ...stevie ray, no carlos santana, no ERIC CLAPTON??? i mean subjectively for just sound , tech ability and over all influence on other guitar players...that list justed add up...seems to be skewed towards head banger bands,,,

oh yeah ...one more thing....of all the lists, not one of them had jeff healey on them!!
i mean realistically if he would have been in one of those big flashy bands , his name would have been in the top 10 if not #1...
he played with passion, feeling and a whole lot of heart AND i think everyone can say
NO ONE PLAYED GUITAR LIKE HIM....
