Default Banquet style oil and vinegar salad dresssing

Does anyone have the ingredients / measurements for the oil and vinegar recipes that most places in town here use for their salad? (eg. marconi, riuniti, etc, etc.) I've made a couple myself but they just don't seem to be the same!

There are different ways of making it. The basic for all are regular vegetable oil and white vinegar. Most halls add sugar or garlic powder to it as well. It is usually the sugar that gives it that taste. When I make it I substitute with olive oil 3/4 cup, 1/4 cup white vinegar and about a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
When I make up a lie and can not back out of it, I will just say I am leaving town for a funeral and that should cover up the lie.
Self-laudation abounds among the unpolished; but nothing can stamp a person more sharply as ill-bred.

If you can't feed them, don't breed them!
