    God's phone number: Jeremiah 33:3

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.''

The problem, SB, when I try to have these discussions is that you tend to be very secretive and cryptic in what you are saying, that is, I find it hard to decipher exactly what you are saying. If this is how you talk to people, I'm afraid we would have a difficult time talking about anything. So, let me answer your question with another question first.
Is the way you discuss religion here on this board the same way you discuss religion face to face?

Face to face, I will discuss religion if there seems to be an opening where the other person is interested and willing. Other wise, we talk about things of mutual interest, business, family whatever.

If I meet with you, that's the way it will be. I won't buttonhole the person, but there is a resident atheist that I am pleased to call a friend. We have had a couple of enjoyable chats over coffee. Not the only one, either.

Chocolate cream pie at the West Side, mmmmm!!

P.S. Secretive and cryptic is my own inability to communicate, ususally.

I sat next to him for well over an hour one nite and he never brought up religion once, but we did discuss cheeseburgers and heartburn.
You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.

A friend stationed in Afghanistan has retired and stayed on, opening a bomb plant that makes ordinance that look like prayer mats. Profits are through the roof.

You guys who don't believe in Jesus anyway, maybe you should find a picture of Mohammed and start a thread about him.
Let's test Soonet. See how impartial they really are.
