    Default Strangers..

Well today was going pretty crapy. i was in the middle of sewing some christmas presents when my sewing machine decided to just up and quit on me, my computer printer decided that halfway through printing out some christmas cards that it no longer wanted to feed paper and my iron broke. Sears was supposed be be here between 8 and 10 to fix my washer *and they are still not here yet* and not having a washer with 3 kids for any amount of time jus sucks. So I was going to go outside and shovel my drivway when a complete stranger just drove up and plowed my drivway for me. He had no idea how crappy my day is going but what he did sure made it better. So I just wanted to say thankyou to the kind stranger who made my day so much better!!! That is one less thing I have to do today and I can spend that time doing other things with my family.

I hope it does get better. Sears is still not here yet to fix my washer and I keep getting the run around. First they said that they would be here between 8-10 then at 11:30 still not here try to get ahold of someone who actually knows whats going on getting bounced around from call center to call center. The get ahold of the repair place on white oak drive and they dont even have the part yet. But no one called to tell us that. Then we are getting ready to go out and get stuff for supper tonight and they call back saying they got the part and they will be here between 1 and 2. THEN they call back and say well we don`t have the part. Ryan flipped. Turns out the guy just got back from lunch and didn`t check the notes. So now sears is here and I just want to do my friggan laundry. UGH. SO the day is down the toilet now.

Sorry you had a crappy day.....I think we've all had at least one of those. But just think of how much more you'll enjoy the good day that follows! And the kindness of strangers sure is a special treat.....it is the unexpectedness that makes it a treasure.

My week just keeps getting better and better too. For the last two years i have worked at a certain retail store and I have made it very clear that even at my interview that i can only work around my sons schedule because of the cost of daycare for a child with Disabilities. For two years this has worked well. Now there is a new district manager and I have to be availble to work any shift they assign to me. We because of them working around my hours i never needed to find a sitter therefor don't have one. So we discussed it and he said well then i am now a temporary employee and will get between 0-20hrs. Today I was brought into the office because he wanted me to sign a paper that i will and have to work the hrs given or I need to resign by January. How friggen lovely eh!!!! Now i have to decide if this job is worth it or not.

Minor irritations. It could be much much worse.

It's always nice to get your driveway plowed. Nice guy, whoever it was.

What a bummer! Is there no government subsidy to help you with the extra costs of a daycare for a disabled child?
What about going to the labor board to see what your rights are?

There is some funding that covers a part of the difference that a sitter will cost.
I have already been in contact with a few places and getting the advice needed.
Hopefully I can end this week on a good note lol.

Giggle it looks like your day is getting better but it sucks when your day gets better because you can do laundry!
Blueeyed, You might be better off looking for a new job that will be able to work around your hours at least look to see whats out there then if by january you still can find anything see if its worth it to set yourself up with a sitter or leave your job. Its hard with a job that you love.

The guy who plowed your driveway, was he driving a blue truck?
