japanese lanterns

i have a small bowl of them that i had out for a Fall decoration..
when and how do you plant them?

you can plant them anytime, they can take over your garden, so be careful. they dont really look all that nice until the fall and they turn orange. they spread underground on their root system., so once you get some roots, just plant them and let them go.
