Please help me!!!!

This has been on my mind for years. Does a spoon full of sugar really help the medicine go down? Most of my medicines already have a high sugar content... Please some one answer this question for me.

no clue But I can imagine that years ago the stuff was so bad tasting that it must of helped.

well i just tried some NyQuil and sugar and no it didn't taste better and i also had some Buckley and sugar and definitely not better.

I take NyQuil liquigel capsule things. I can't stand the taste of any medicine. My grandma tried putting medicine in sugar to mask the taste when I was a kid and all I can say is it is a LIE! lol I do put sugar in Neo Citran and it helps though. I put about four spoonfulls in it haha.

Nothing in the world can make medicine taste better. It all taste horrible. I (recently) figured that if I tried an orange flavored one that it might be better than the typical cherry flavored stuff that I absolutely cannot stand, but it wasn't better at all. When it comes to taking medicines, I'm sure I've tried just about everything there is to try in order to make it taste better. I have yet to find anything that works - other than just not taking it at all!

I always stick with Neo-Citran. Making myself a good dose as we speak. They even make it sugar-free, so that is even better for me as I have been avoiding sugar the past 6 months as much as possible. (well, I took some time off for Christmas :P)

I used to love neo-citran, but I think even it has changed for the worse. It tastes way more mediciny to me than I remember it tasting in my teens.

I don't reccommend it, but my dad once told me that his favourite cold, fever, flu remedy was an 8 ounce glass of brandy.

Make a hot toddy with Rum, hot water, honey and cinnamon. Puts you into la-la land if you have a couple lol.

If I have to use NyQuil, I use the gelcaps. The liquid tastes horrid.

My mom used to put something in my TANG tones of sugar, and had a very orangy taste to mask that awful cherry crap.
warm Brandy and honey is my remedy of choice now

Take meds in pill form. Liquid medicine is as good as a glass of wine.
