I think that is a huge invasion of privacy. They took pics of peoples garage with the door open and you can see everything that is in there and zoom in to see in there as well.

Good thing I mowed my lawn, and I can tell it was a monday when the pic was taken, everyone on my street has their blue box out.

My husband is standing in front of our house with a cup of coffee in his hand - I can pinpoint the exact day they drove down our street because the bath solutions truck is in the driveway and the drywaller was working that day. Kind of spooky, really. It was the Thursday after Labour day.

I was quite sad I was not home on the day they drove past my house. But everyone can see right into our back yard. I am glad that my grass is actually cut and my flower beds are nice and pretty!

I want to know why they are catalouging all this. You know how much money it costs to put high def pictures like these on the net let alone every city in the world. Not to mention paying people to drive all these km's and the gas money alone. this is not good

when I looked at my house I was not home but it was the 2nd day the new windows were installed. So I did a check and found where I was on a job Down Town Was out side then Two with some other People.

Point being? It is Google's money, not government or taxpayers.

Google is trying to be innovative by going beyond just satellite images. To the point then when you want to find an addresss, say you are going to a building for the first time, you can see what it actually looks like.

How do you figure? It isn't like they go up to your windows and take picturs of the inside of your house.

If your garage door is open, there is no difference between someone walking down the street and seeing inside.

When you have a door wide open, there is zero expectation of privacy.

It is like living in a glass house, having sex, and getting mad if people see you.
