Ok normally you get your license for the first time as a teen.
Now for those who wait later in life to do it for what ever reason, where is the best place to learn?
I think the older you are when you get it the more nervous you are.

Young drivers. There is other programs other than beginners.

I think Driving School is the best way
I waited till I was older, and went to Howsen's... Ithink I'm a better driver for waiting

Our Driving School has very caring people...they are across from the police station.
Whats the cost usually for the lessons? I know its $125 for the beginners....
Im also going to get my beginners this year and don't really want to wait the full year to get my G2..I just want to wait the 8mths...
I need to get mine for the field I am going into but I really dont want to. I have the whole "Im the only one on the face of the earth who will never learn to drive" syndrome. I do it to myself

The cost is about 600 bucks and includes inclass sessions and 10 hours of actually driving a car provided by the driving school.
I have a friend who didn't get hers until she was in her 30s. She swears by driving school for confidence and ability. She had her beginners a buch of times before, but was always too nervous until she went to drivers ed.
Maybe it's just easier to let you know when I'm being serious.
I was in my mid 20's and went to Howson's and did private classes vs the group classes (to avoid being in a class full of teenagers lol) and they were great. It was really laid back and I was taught a lot of important skills that have probably saved my ass on more than one occasion!
I went to our driving school when I was 16. I also went back for a refresher lesson the day before I took my G. It was like 60 or 70 for an hour lesson.

Cool thanks :0)

I knew I read this somewhere.

“In Ontario,” the researcher's article states, “drivers aged 16 to 19 years who took driving courses had a 45% higher collision rate than the group that did not take a course.”
Watching and laughing!!!
A teacher can teach the driver ed course...but are those students listeneing? I suspect a lot of those 16 year olds think they are smarter than the teacher and feel they know all there is to know. Also...once they get the license...they drive the way THEY WANT TO...not as the teacher trained them. Its not the driving schools fault.

She was asking for someone later in life than 16 who is nervous. Hardly a waste of money for someone interested enough to ask for a place.
