A lot of people thought USA was too young, inexperienced, and stood no chance against teams like Canada or Russia. Way too many people wrote the team off.

Competing in the Olympics celebrates who is the best at a sport. We did that 14 times. The second and third place finishers will soon be forgotten.

You have to admit though, coming into the tournament Team Russia had a scary looking team on paper. You can't really blame people for thinking they were going to make some serious noise in the tourament. As for the Americans I'm proud of the team, as they showed all of their doubters that they are good enough. Same goes for team Canada.

Actually I was right. I said Canada losing would be an upset. I said with Miller in net anything is possible and not to rule them out.

Just watched Team Canada and a bit of team Russia. This is going to be a great tournament. Canada looked sharp tonight. Question is, is there really a weakness in this Canadian team? I'd say of there is any weak spot, it would be a lack of chemistry in such a short tournament, but Steve Yzerman has done a great job finding players with proven chemistry and a solid coaching staff. Is there a better coach than Ruff right now? Add in ice size and home crowd and Canada is looking pretty good right now.

Team Russia has explosive offense but I would have to question Nabaokov. He is a good goalie, but I would rank Brodeur, Miller, and Luongo ahead of him, especially in big games.

I think team USA will be quietly dangerous this year. I don't see them winning, but I do see them being a major thorn in somebodies side. You never know though; with Miller in net anything can happen.

due to depth, coaching, goaltending, and home ice Canada is by far the favorite though. As good as Russia may be, I think Russia beating Canada would be a major upset.

Again, I said Canada was the favorite to take gold. You're just too busy trying to disagree with me to notice.
