    Default View - Delta

We had the pleasure to eat at the View last night, in the new Delta. The new renovations made this place a thing of beauty. It was really nice. The atmosphere was great. We were having a great dinner until my Father In law's steak arrived. I had ordered the sirloin and he the ribeye. We both chose the peppercorn sauce, but his steak tasted really off. It didn't even smell anywhere close to what mine smelled or tasted like. I know they are two different cuts, but is there anything else that would cause this? View had given him his meal for free because of this, and ensured us the steak was fine and that they are very meticulous about their handling of the meats. I had tried a couple of bites and my father in law did not eat very much himself, but we both ended up with very upset stomaches today.

hmmm, I am in the mood for hot dogs now...
as for the steak, it could be in your head... but if it smelt off, there was probably some minor detail off... food poisoning to my knowledge (which is far from flawless) would cause diarrhea and maybe vomiting...

This won't deter me from eating there ever again. My meal was fantastic, as well was everyone else's. The wine selection was second to none. The hostess and waitress were great and did a great job. Was a bit pricey, but it is a nice treat.

    An aged steak, maybe? Interesting.

Good to know there's another good place to eat. Will have to check it out.

I'm glad to hear your meal was great, they must have made some serious changes along with the decor. The last time we ate there we all swore we'd never go back. 12 of us and the only ones who didn't have something to complain about were the two who ordered the "pizza"

Its nice to know that improvements have been made.

    Mmmm that place was great!!!!

Really expensive but it had good food. I almost felt underdressed going. The place went through a great reno!

My wife had Caesar salad and some shrimp. 2 to be exact lol. I had the New York Steak and it was great!!!! (Not as good as Lonestar was though).

But overall i give it a 11 out of 10.

It's not THAT expensive. My 14oz Newyork strip was only $23, with beer came out to $33 and some change.
