Default pet emergency ... mods please leave here

My daughter went to a place last night, where people were partying and kicking a kitten. She was very upset as the kitten was barely recognizable. She took the kitten and left. We now have the kitten cleaned up and she is beautiful. However, she has internal damage, and we will be taking her across the river at 7 am for emergency care with the vet over there. If anyone happens to have some metacam to spare, its a pain killer for the kitten, it would help to keep her comfortable for tonight. I went to my own cupboard, but my bottle of metacam is all used up.

It would be most appreciated. As we want to keep her comfortable till we can get her to the vet in the morning.

    thanks!!

for the record, my daughter does not know these people, she went with a friend who did. ANd I know she is not interested in ever going back. She took the kitten and walked all the way home with it, to save it.
as for those people, you know who you are... and for the rest of the adults that were at this gathering. How disgusting that you not only stop it, but contributed to this behavior. Even by doing nothing, you are as guilty as those that committed the abuse. May life do to you what you have done to a helpless little kitten.

I dont know who did it. ANd my daughter is afraid of retalliation, so she won't do that. I told her, at least you saved the kitten. And I am not sure she should report it, because she lives alone with her children, and who knows what else these idiots are capable of.

I almost wonder if the cat provoked them in some way.

How is kicking the crap out of an animal any different then kicking the crap out of a human? So because people might retaliate they should be protected and not be charged with the abuse of animals? This is how people get the sense that they are above everyone and any law. I am sure if someone kicked the hell out of you that you would want them to be punished to the full extent. Whatever... Fine protect the idiots that would do this.

Hey it's possible. Getting attacked or scratched by a cat is cause for kicking it across a room.

Hopefully they don't treat thier children the same.
My guess is they are pissed any way that she took the cat.

I would not recommend baby asprin or any asprin on a cat.
    You can kill them.
Best to ask the vet what you can give.

Personally also I could care less on retaliation. They deserve to be charged.
If its not stopped they will only do it again and next time she wont be there to save that one.
