    Default Still Summer

Ok so summer is coming to an end but this is a reminder that just because it is AMOST September....that doesn't mean it is cold or chilly out everyday...In case you didn't notice it was 32 Degrees outside yesterday and the humidex is not going to make it much better today.

I guess I am here venting because two very very stupid people yesterday somehow must not have noticed how hot it was outside and took their dogs (GErman shepards) for a ride. Not that that is a big deal but it is when you leave them in a car that is not running with the windows up. Yesterday I went to walmart. I parked my car and noticed two cars side by side with german shepards in them. Windows up cars not running. OK now they might have just got there and ran in and was coming out. Still no excuse but willing to let it slide. I went in I did a fare amount of shopping came back and the cars were still there. And the one dog seemed to be lethargic in the back seat the other was barking its head off in the other car. People were walking by looking and shaking their heads. I just couldn't sit back. I left a message on both cars but I also called the police and gave them the licensed plate number. So if you had a visit from the police you can thank me and if you got that message on your car that was from me.

People who are going to take their pets out in this heat and leave them in a hot car first need to see how long they would last. I urge you to put on a fur coat and sit in a sealed car in 32 degree weather. All people who do this to their pets should not be allowed pets and should be put in jail.

You can call the Police or the Humane Society when you see that happening. Some people are just stupid when it comes to leaving their dogs in a hot car.

Update I just found out that the person was charged for not having a license for the dog but because the police had gotten there and held up the person until the animal control officer got there they couldn't charge them with leaving the dog in the car but could get them with no licenes. So Ms. beige SUV gets away....butthe other was charged...woohoo got one. Make no mistake if I see an animal in a car in this heat I will call the cops.
