    Default canon lenses

I'm looking for sum new lenses for my canon. I was thinking of a long focal length lense, with a small aperture. In time I want to also get an external flash, than a macro lense. But, just for bsic pictures right now, my aperture only opens up to 5.6 at the fullest zoom. Nd its a pain in the butt to zoom in on anything, unless I was sitting right in front of it. I was giving some dvice from a friend to check ebay or sudbury, any other suggestion from any photo takers ???

A Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS will cost you about $2500. For the f/4 version you're looking at $1500.

I have a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 which was about $1299 new but it looks like they're $1999 now. Don't forget to add taxes.

Fast lenses are pretty expensive but they're a good investment if you're trying to get serious.

Sigma, Tamron and Canon make lenses for your Canon. I was just in Henry's in Toronto today - lots of used lenses for Canon - a couple of pretty nice ones

I also checked out a Tamron new lens - about 75-300 or something like that. Nice clean lens - advantage over the Canon equivalent is that the Tamron does macro.

Don't think I've ever been in Henry's in Sudbury - Henry's is a chain though - they're around in Southern Ontario and they sell stuff over the net too.

The 75-300mm Tamron does not have a constant, fast aperture, which she is asking for. It's not any better than her Canon one (in fact its probably worse) except that it focuses slightly closer.

Be careful if you buy a used Sigma lens. Most older autofocus models made for 35mm cameras do not work on the digital cameras unless they have been upgraded by the manufacturer.
Anything other than a wide open aperture makes the camera show an error.
