I haven't seen one in years but I new one guy who made one out of an old 40's style refrigerator with the tap in the middle of the door. Thing was friggin cool looking.
They are great for the "cool" factor but not on the wallet. It's cheaper to buy beer by the can than it is to buy the same amount of beer in a keg. Depending on the brand, a hell of a lot cheaper.

I knew a chap who had one very similar to the one described by Andre. It belonged to a fellow who worked for Dorans. Worked beautifully as I recall.
