Default Real Iced Tea with Mint

I noticed that very few actually make real iced tea anymore and thought I'd share a simple recipe for those who want to.

For a 2 litre jug

5 bags Tetley or other orange pekoe tea
(steep in 4 cups/1 litre boiled water for about 7 minutes)
remove tea bags and add about 1/2 cup sugar, stir well.

In pitcher/jug:
mix together tea,
1 lemon; cut off ends and then into 3 pieces(discard ends)
3 sprigs of real mint leaves (available in grocery stores produce section)
then top off with cold water.

For those who like herbal tea, it works just as well, I even add Strawberry tea once in a while for a fruity taste.

Leave mint and lemon in the jug! It really cuts the thirst and tastes so much better than the store bought variety.

For people with the water cooler/heater it's faster because the stove or kettle doesn't get turned on.
