You obviously have not looked to much around, because the current trend seems to be the opposite of what you just said.

Haha thanks DQ, I'm very proud of you.

As for the porn thing, what makes you so sure that it is porn that is causing all relationship strife? People are busy now more than ever. Things are go go go all the time. Could that not be the cause? You could throw 500 studies at me and I will never believe it. There is no way they can simulate reality for this type of study.

    No one claimed that.

Well your picture implies that. Porn causes a 300 percent increase of marital infidelity. 56 percent chance of divorce. Sure other relationships die off because of things like financial problems.. Oh wait that is caused by porn too. I bet 60 percent of cancer victims watch porn. Maybe that is what is causing cancer. If I started my own study, I could slant the information I get to prove it.

    It's not "my picture".
It's not even a religious site.
It's a psychology website from all appearances.

But I have learned that people always tend to discount any evidence that leads to conclusions that they don't like. It's called denial.

Its from a site that appears to be psychology related. And this counts as "evidence that keeps coming in" Those psychologists draw great pictures.

    Gotcha.

Instead of going on about how nasty porn is why not look it in the eye so to speak? Why not study why it seems to have so much appeal? Why the fascination with porn in the first place? What need does it fill?

Are you suggesting that it is that need that is the root of the problem? Men need to have sex.. or have a method of simulating it for the release of sperm. Sperm does not wanna hang out with daddy. It wants out. The picture Blue provided us with tells us men have a bigger porn problem. Maybe it's because men have a better response to visuals. We learn better with pictures (us cats too). Porn helps by providing the pictures to help get those little wigglers out. And if you don't believe me on the whole picture thing, why do you suppose Blue used a picture in the original post? So as Newcasa says, instead of studying porn, maybe dig a little deeper ( no pun intended) to find what draws so many people to it.

It seems to fill a "need" because so few people really understand how sex works.

Odd how porn that is targeted towards men has them as the main pleasure recipient !! Porn that showed a man complementing a lady
on her choice of shoe and the flavor of supper that night might not do as well as the one that caters to some of the more primal urges !!

Insert TAB A into SLOT B. There is a huge difference between sex and making love. The true meaning of sex is to reproduce. Humans made it into more, because it is enjoyable.

    Think of it this way.

If you can buy it, it ain't the same as it should be.
