It's hard to believe that the new Hospital will be open tomorrow. Good luck to all those involved in the move including the patients. Hope all goes smoothly!

Moving day is tomorrow..It will open Monday.......but I agree....hope everything runs smoothly
Actually, it opens Sunday, per SAH website. Emergency dept., beginning at 6am Sunday at the new location.
Yes, it opens tomorrow morning. They've made this VERY clear to me as there is always the chance I go into pre-term labour.
Visitng hours tomorrow will be from 5 pm - 8:30 pm I believe, although special cases will be made in circumstances (I imagine if someone is dying)

It's great that you get to have your baby in the new hospital lynys! I've seen the new labour and delivery department and it is wonderful!! It makes me almost want to have another baby again! It also makes me almost want to work there again! lol!
Hey, Lynys, maybe yours will be the first baby born in the new Hospital!
The Labour & Delivery area is quite spiffy. Apparantly one of the Birthing Rooms has a Whirlpool if you decide to give birth in water.
I know! I am pretty excited! Still have a great number of weeks to go, but, there is a chance it could be early, so we are making sure to be prepared. (sort of) lol
I go to the prenatal tour in a couple of weeks, and from what I have read, it will be a great place for giving birth.

I wanted to be the first female polygamist... and since you refused to marry me, I had to find someone else to be my first husband.

Poor smokers.
SAH is a non-smoking facility
The entire property is non-smoking, including all buildings, parking lots, access roads and the Hub Trail which runs along the eastern edge of the hospital grounds.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere, including in vehicles, while on SAH property.
The policy applies to all patients, visitors, staff, physicians and volunteers and will be strictly enforced.
SAH wishes to remind everyone to respect the rights and privacy of the property owners adjacent to the hospital grounds and not trespass or litter on those properties.
Wonder where all the staff will end up.
Does anyone know if the new hospital will have a job posting board like the old hospital did? I like to check it regularly to see if any job postings in my field come up.
I know they have a job board online, but it usually only posts jobs for nurses and doctors, that is why I always went into the hospital to check the job board. That was where they posted other jobs like for ward clerks or housekeeping.
Can you imagine what the intersection at 2nd line and Great Northern will be like, its takes a few light changes to get through it as it stands.
Well, westenders could go via Third Line, now, can't they? Eastenders can use Black Road to Third Line. With the Pine St extension to Second Line, maybe they'll be able to extend it to Third Line at some point in the future.
Actually, now that I think about it, anyone in the east hill area, or dowtown, could use the same route as those in the east end, and it would likely be faster than Great Northern.
