    Default What file do dvd players use?

    I have a home movie I want to burn on a dvd to play on the tv and I wnated to know what file a dvd player needs to be for me twrite it on on the disk. thanks

    DVD's use a structure that has to be followed in order for a movie to be played back.

    Most newer DVD players will play files other than the standard dvd file structure with mpeg2. Try just burning the file as a DVD Data Disc and see if it plays. If not you can use Nero Burning Rom. If you choose DVD Disk it will automatically convert the file to DVD and burn. In some cases if it is not a common file format it might not work.
