    That is cuel.

SInce we're on the subject of how a person could place an animal into a small container and watch it die- we do this too and it's common to see. Only difference is, we are used to it and uneducated to know it's cruel.

Goldfish in fish bowls is one example- They die quickly-and never are allowed to grow to their full potential or age. Goldfish are capable of living very long lives and prefer Warm temperatures (a heater in the water) and need a lot of space.

People place Betta's in tiny bowls also with no thought to the warm temperatures they need.

    Betta myths continued: http://nippyfish.net/2009/06/08/top-...fighting-fish/
Guinea pigs are another animal many people mistakenly keep in hamster-like cages...

It's sad as these creatures should have space. Just bc they "can" survive a lil while in a small space, doesn't mean they should...

Agree Grey. I see it ever day. A big Newfoundland dog resides in my building with 3 cats (all in a small one bedroom unit with a crazy lady). Also, several of my co-worker's crate their dogs all day while at work. Both are very, very sad. I know nothing about birds...but I wonder how they like being caged?
