    Default Bicycle Engine

Just wondering if anyone knows someone who rigged up a bicycle to some sort of gas engine. Looking for ideas as i have seen it done and would like to try it out. wondering what some people have used?

My son used a weedeater motor.
    He is in Calgary.
I don`t know how he did it but it ran good.
All I know is he took the shaft off,and put on a rubber roller which would touch the tire.
Try to look it up on the net.

I seen some guy cruising down second line hill out of control. He was swerving from side to side in the middle of the road. The light was red at the bottom of the hill , I thought he was going to wipe out or hit the car infront of him, but he finally came to a stop. I think his throttle was stuck.

We talked to a guy one night in emerg while we were sitting there twittling our thumbs, he had his (bicycle w/motor on it) parked right outside the window. Hubby is interested in them too so he struck up a conversation with him. True they are totally legal under so many cc's, no license needed. This guy builds them and sells them, fixes them, and most of all rides them. From listening to him sounds like he really enjoys it, and it's cheap for getting around town.

Everyone has probably seen this guy around, since talking to him we've seen him all over the place, always on his bike. Best bet, if you do see him or someone on an electric bike, I'd approach them...if they've gone as far as getting one/making one they'll probably share there info/brag with you. ;-) I think they're awesome, especially considering the gas money you'd save over a vehicle.

I would gladly start a thread once my bike is finished.
I just piked up a nice Comfort Hybrid bicycle to mount the motor to...
    Norco Olympia....

The motor is a chrome Grubee Star-Fire with an expansion chamber to give it a power boost and better sound
