Anyone know some good new songs for Acoustic ?

I'm teaching a couple of beginning guitar classes again this year and I'm looking for some suggestions on some new tunes that would be reasonably achievable for beginner/intermediate guitar players to learn. I have all the standard classic rock and country stuff and I'm looking for some newer groups that will grab their interest. I haven't been listening to the radio much this summer as I've been busy with the kids. I haven't really heard any new summer tunes...

Can any of the guitar players out there suggest a few songs for me to look into that cover first position Chords? It would have to be something they could play along to the CD for, as well. If not, I may still be able to adapt it as long as it is reasonably singable for me. Even some power chord stuff for later in the year would be helpful...
