Shaw Extreme Speed

My download speed is 9.24. Pinging 118. Does this seem right?? Because it doesn't seem any faster than when I had regular high speed.

It's $10 more. Apparently running a wireless connection slows it down. When I hard wired to the modem, I got a good number. Grr.

Hard wiring is best, but your router may suck, an N router would be best

Try http://www.speedtest.net the Shaw one sucks.

You can't test the speed of your Shaw internet on speed tests like speedtest.net.
Shaw's speedboost renders them useless.
The only way to test your speed is to download a file large enough for speedboost to turn off and then see what you get after that.

ok tell me this,
I'm with a 7meg profile/800 up and it costs me $30.
What do you do on the internet to justify me paying more?
Soonet dosen't load any faster, same with youtube, facebook,or yahoo.

Are you downloading numerous Linux distros?

It's the convenience and it greatly depends on what you use your connection for. I get about the same speeds as Legion and I can't wait to switch to the new packages and get 50 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up. I would switch to the 250/15 package if they had it available.
