I would say not close, that's a huge increase in bandwidth for a network.

Agreed. It is quite a large investment in their infrastructure. It looks as though they have realized that they will need to increase their bandwidth in the near future with the increases in internet demand. Maybe they have just decided to upgrade now and lead the way instead of falling behind and trying to catch up.
Either way, consumers are the ones who will stan to benefit.

looks like there in talks with going to fiber to the home from what one of the techs were telling me. They just installed behind my home new fibre and they said they are doing much more in the sault over the next year

How did you get that? I tried forever to get it and they kept telling me they don't offer it in Sault Ste Marie.

i went to the shaw office directly this morning and picked up the new modem...works like a charm...been hitting consistent 54-56meg on d/l...3 meg up
$20 more per month vs extreme-i
SMCD3GH docsis3 modem is $3.95/month to rent
currently a 175gig cap, which will be changing to 400gig as of june 8 (or thereabouts)

i have digital tv/internet with shaw. The only thing i changed was my internet. I didn't have to "sign up" or bundle anything in order to get warp internet. It changed my bill by 20 bucks, that's all i can tell ya

Just got it today tried a speedtest heres the result

i have had their Warp for about a week now and i'm still yet to hit 20Mb/s the closes i got was 17 so far and tech had no idea why i will have yet another tech at my house tomorrow to figure it out. Even when i was on their extreme i was on hitting max 7Mb/s which end of town are you guys in. I have tried different speed test site with same result
