It's great that they are shooting another movie in the Sault, but hasn't this movie already been made? I think it was like the mid nineties and had Angelina Jolie in it, it has the same name and is based on the same book.

Movies are re-made all the time. Somebody obviously thinks there is an audience somewhere.

The Sault hasn't caught on that these movie companies are taking advantage of everything the Sault is offering for free. Someone should look into making the public and businesses aware of what other cities charge movie production companies for things such as site location licenses, right of ways, building rentals, and promotion. This city gives most things away for free, .... which is great for the small time local film-makers, but these companies that come here with million dollar budgets should at least pay modest fees for some of their needs.

I know people will say that if we don't give it away they won't come, ... which might happen in some cases. We have to find that happy median whereby our city makes money, and it is still lucrative enough for these film-makers to come here.

As this forum's popular saying goes, .... Just my humble opinion.
