Default "Hi, neighbour...do you have my colonoscopy result?"

"Canada Post is giving its system a colonoscopy as it searches for up to 26 missing packages containing the names, health numbers and colon cancer screening results of 12,000 patients.

“(Cancer Care Ontario) paid to have the mail delivered and we didn’t deliver it, in some cases,” Canada Post spokesman John Caines said."

our little post office might be on a proposed list of closings coming out Tuesday as the U.S. Postal Service tries to find ways to cut red ink. Some would be replaced by a "Village Post Office" located within a commercial retail store.
Postmaster General Patrick Donohoe planned a news conference Tuesday to release a long-awaited "post office study list" of potential closings nationwide, typically targeting rural post offices where only a few hundred customers are served. The facilities targeted, potentially numbering in the thousands, will be subject to a review and appeals process before any final decision is made.

The US Postal Service closing offices because now they have stiff competition from the likes of Fedex and UPS is the same as the Canadian Postal Service losing twenty thousand colonoscopy reports

I always wondered what issue it would be, exactly, that would push Hansy off his rocker.

    Well ,we found it: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=norwa...1t:429,r:0,s:0

A $140,000 horse being flown from Belgium to JFK didn't make it to the finish line alive.
The pony named Virteuse was discovered dead at a JFK cargo facility shortly after its flight landed yesterday morning, sources told The Post.
The 1-year-old European warmblood, headed to a private owner in Illinois, had been among 10 horses on El Al Flight 831.
He started "kicking forcefully" in his pen about 30 minutes after takeoff from Liége Airport but calmed down only to die a short time later, a source said.
Officials were performing a necropsy on Virteuse at the federal Department of Agriculture's New York Animal Import Center.
Although it is common to transport horses by plane, "it's very unusual for something wrong to happen on these flights," said Long Island horse veterinarian Dr. Nancy Buonpane.

How in hell does one go about LOSING twenty thousand documents of any size shape or description let alone one's in a ten by twenty manila envelope? This kind of crap takes REAL talent that could only be located within the Canadian postal system. There would seem to be a propensity within our Command central in Ottawa to frig things up ROYALLY there for disallowing a full break with the British Monarchy. It becomes clearer as I age.

I just wasted a half hour of my life surfing and finding nothing. Do any of you recall some faux pas the Canadian mail had in the seventies or eighty's that they slithered out of? It was similar but defiantly not of this magnitude. Someone somewhere abdicated do to the screw up that I remember.

Don't tell that to Handyman. According to him, postal workers are exposed to risks similar to Canadian troops abroad and have been screwed by CPC.
The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never be certain they're authentic.

Those packages were probably misdelivered, and now they sit beside some procrastinator's desk.

    Stuff happens.

Government workers are useless, and they all know it.

Important work should be left to the private sector.

    ALL useless??

Tell ya what, I sure don't want to live in a country with no government or workers.

Edit to add, when was the last time I had a letter lost, coming or going??

    Uh, that would be never.
