Simple editing program to download?

Does any one know a good simple program I can download for editing my pics? I am have windows 7 64 bits if that makes a difference? thanks

The ones I use are Photoshop CS5, Lightroom 3 and Paint Shop Pro X2. Depends on what I'm trying to do I find that certain things are better in one program than another, etc. I tend to use PSP X2 more than any of them. I know I could probably upgrade it but I'm very comfortable with that one and it's very easy to use.

FastStone Image Viewer (and Editor)
It is free and is spyware and adware free. I have shared this program with many people who don't do a lot of computer work and they all find it easy. I use it all the time. I have tried many others and this is my favourite.
