    Default Why?

Why can't you enter a store with out shoes?
Why can't you enter a store with no shirt?

I saw a lady in a store to-day with a pair of sandals so thin as to be virtually non existent, she was served. Are bare feet so much worse? If it is because of something she may have stepped in with her bare feet would she not step in it with her sandals?

No shirt, what of the hefty chap wearing the ever popular wife beater or more properly a singlet? Is he any less offensive with 5 ounces of material over his man boobs? Are his arm pits and chest hair not still as objectionable?

Slow day and meager thoughts to keep me from the telly.

no shoes...i dunno. i personally hate shoes but wear them out of fear of getting plantar warts or stepping on glass.
shirts....no one should be walking around topless. NO ONE. yes, they have the right to do it but it's icky.
    pets...well pets are dirty.

I realize this but the question was why? Where her feet not nearly bare and is the man not almost shirtless? If this is not the interpretation then why the law?

Ah ha, so the no shirt no shoes no service is and industry standard not government edict. My reason for wondering, a sandal covers so little of the foot, say a strap over the large toe and one over the heel and the sole is so thin how is THAT not as "offensive, unhealthy" whatever as a naked foot?

Why is there no sign that says 'No Pants... No Service' ?

Do you EVER wear pants? Now stop being silly! The sign says No shirt, no shoes and no dog and all that crap. Sorry I got lost there.

As far as shoes are concerned, if I was barefoot, and stepped on something that cut my foot in your store, I could probably sue you for damages, injury, pain, loss of work, etc...

The no shirt thing.. don't know about that one. I suppose a business owner doesn't want to drive away clients who get grossed out byu seeing too much belly or chest hair..

SO...if a lady went into a store topless with her "girls" flopping down the aisles....would she be asked to leave? If she was asked to leave would that not controvene a law that says women can go topless?

I'm not 100% sure of this, but the law states public place not a private one....

I dont think it counts in a private place because men are legally allowed to go topless too.

Sounds like a good test of store policy. Try getting service wearing shoes and a shirt, but no pants.
Maybe it's just easier to let you know when I'm being serious.
