    anyone got a new v-card
    since after x-mas now,Wondering if anyone has had graphics card upgrade and if you wanna get rid of your old
    8800GTX ,pm pls.ty

    For the price and hassle you would go through for a relic like that , you could get a modern gpu with 3x the horsepower and 10x less heat produced and power required. Not to mention with a power hungry gpu like that your more than likely going to need a new power supply still.

    Yes, I would purchase a new mid range card. Less heat and less power draw + better performance. I don't think it would be worth your time upgrading to SLI for the 8800 GTX.
    You would also have to find a card similar to yours for SLI. It's recommended not to mix and match vendors with the older generation cards. (You can with the newer, but I would still use 2 identical cards).

    I'm just gonna buy a better card and sell this one. My mobo is not sli,so would I have any trouble with buying a card that is not sli?,,i don't want to buy another board,thx.

    Any card will work, SLI or not.
