    Default driveway sealer

Now that we have replaced our older van with a new vehicle, thus oil spots on the driveway stopping, we would like to get our driveway re-sealed. Yeah, I know we can look in the yellow pages for some adds there, but I was wondering if anyone out there has any recent experience with some people that re-seal? Yellow page adds don't give first hand accounts of experiences. Last year we got quite a few of those flyers in our mailbox for re-sealing driveways, but none at all this year. Respectfully, we don't want a "jack of all trades" doing it, we want someone that does it quite a bit. I could go out there and use that spot remover and roller myself, but I want it done once and done right. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

This spring we got ous re-done and I did the yellow page ad thing to just try to get anybody. After several answering machines later I reached a human voice on the other end of Warren Hulls Asphalt Sealing. He was very busy but assured me he would have it done by tomorrow. I was a bit skeptical but said whatever just do it. He was the BEST!!! They didn't get a drop of sealer on the side of my house or on my garage door, they also roped off my driveway so nobody would drive on it and came back the net day to take the ribbon away. GREAT JOB!!! Remember WARREN HULLS ASPHALT SEALING.

Hey gearjamer, how much did he charge for your driveway? Also, how did you need to have your driveway ready for him? Sprayed off and dry already? I would like to get it done in about 2 weeks or so since we are getting our new vehicle rustchecked and I don't want any/many drips going on the new driveway surface from the undercoating.

Also, this is exactly what I am looking for. Giving someone more business based on a previous customer's opinion. I am a HUGE fan of what you are doing for him and think that it is THE way to find someone to do a job. Thanks bud.

As the article says "legitimate" contractors don't seek work door to door.

Newman, seeing as I am off work after knee surgery, that isn't even an option. It would take me days to get it all done the way I am getting around now.

Deedolls, I am not sure what that has to do with this. That article talks about repaving a driveway, not re-sealing one. Re-sealing should come in under $100 while the other costs hundreds and even thousands. Also, my money wouldn't leave my hands until/unless it was done to my satisfaction. It is not a difficult job, I am just physically unable to really do it for the time being. I do appreciate the link though. I however would not have a job THAT big done on a whim like someone knocking on my door.
