Is it the only way to get songs is I tunes?. we got to pay for them. there must be a another way. if there is , pass the info to me,thx. mine got hit by a hammer a few times,so it don't work anymore.

You can do it by inserting a CD or by the 'File' menu in iTunes. Choose 'Add folder to library', in cases where you have a specific folder of music (which you obtained legally of course) or for individual files choose 'Add file to library. I might not be 100% on the wording but you can do it from the File menu for sure.
