What I like best is each anchor will go on and on about arts funding in Canada and funding of the CBC and the taxpayer's money being wasted, yet they forget to tell their audience that Quebecor who owns Sun Media gets $26 million in taxpayer subsidy for their private tv stations and the CEO also wants the Quebec government to pay for a new arena for his NHL team in Quebec City.....funny...

Doesn't really matter how many viewers they get, as long as they hit their demographic. Ever seen the ads for Sun TV? It's all products for senior citizens. Those advertisers aren't necessarily concerned because they are hitting the exact 35,000 people a night that they are aiming for. As long as the advertisers keep paying then the station will stay on the air.

Most of those ads are actually known as Barter - meaning they don't get the money from airing the commercial they get a percentage of sales leading from those ads, so there isn't a lot of money being made.

As far as real news programs go, SunTV beats the hell out of news programs like CanadaAM which over the last couple of years has been majorly feminiized with endless appearances by Dr. Marla (an expert on everything medical) and fashion segments.

First of all, I don't believe in left/right politics. We shouldn't act like sheep; instead actually listen and learn about the issue and make decisions on our own. Second, how many times in the last few months have the Conservative party of Canada been caught in lies with the cost of the F35 being the latest?

You see, the thing that I've learned over the years is that people who claim to be Conservatives mainly do so because they feel superior to other people. Unfortunately this usually stems from some internal sense of inadequacy.

Sun news and especially Levant and Coren are commendably rabid about this issue. Their opponents are mortally afraid of debate, because they know they will lose.
If you combine the extremes of Sun News with the politically correct, state run CBC, and add in the wealth of available info from our (so far uncensored) internet free expression blog sites, you can pretty much distill out the truth, in most cases.
In the U.K. the antithesis to this situation is the B.B.C. They sugarcoat everything to suit the government's agenda.
In many instances, only the free internet has enabled public pressure to force the truth into the open in that country.
We do not want to become like them, with only one voice controlling our thinking. That is Cultural Marxism.
