Reunions....a place where people can judge how poorly you look after that many years. A time when guys say..."Whatever did I see in her ?"

Wow, is that ever cynical! Funnier than hell, but cynical.

If you knew anything about her you would know she does not NEED to come to the sault. She has a long waiting list of people wanting to do private interviews with her where she charges over a $1000 for this interview. She does phone readings where they cost $500 and up for phone readings. Her son charges just about as much. You could say those people are being ripped off if you don't believe in it,but you could also say perhaps it is worth it for those people to have a sense of peace of mind regardless if you believe it or not after all it is their money not yours so what do you really care if people spend the money on it. Some people view it as a form of entertainment others view it as something serious some don't believe and others don't care.
By the way her shows are usually sold out. So yes they flock to her hockus pockus as you call it.

I personally believe that there are some people who can speak to the dead only because I have had it happen to me twice in my life so I know it is possible. I also believe that there are a lot of scam artists out there but I don't believe she is one. You can also use the argument that she makes money off of this....well yeah she needs to make a living so why not. You see people who right now pass a puck for millions a year make way more than her for passing a puck or hitting a ball, they make millions because people flock to stadiums to watch and pay so how is it any different.
i think that was very well said. whether you believe or not, it doesnt matter. it doesnt hurt anyone. and if you dont believe you arent going to buy a ticket and see her.

I agree.....but......these charlatans give people a sense of hope at a high cost, that isn't real. Now, you might say what is wrong with hope? Who does it hurt? I get that. But there are people who are addicted to seeing psychics, who spend thousands of dollars each year to receive this false guidance. It's sad.

I guess you can call them charlatans if you don't believe. I personally believe there are people with the gift. So I won't use that term.

It's a well documented fact that this is a well honed craft, designed to deceive. I don't doubt there are people in this world that have special abilities and qualities. I highly doubt that Sylvia Brown is one. Or John Edwards, or Teresa Caputo. They are for entertainment only. I'm not critcizing people that go to them for fun, don't get me wrong. But people shouldn't be fooled by skilled con artists!

James Randi has been offering 1 Million dollars for anyone who can prove their gift in a lab for years. Sylvia Brown accepted the challenge but later backed out saying she had nothing to prove.

When reading the reviews that is what I also heard Babzz. I was so excited to think she was coming i instantly told my hubby that is what i wanted for mothers day but then when I read the reviews I realized it wasn't really what I thought it would be. She doesn't really do readings she talks more about her books or topics from her books and then she takes a few questions from the audience. I also heard she was crabby a lot of the time and it is really designed to sell her products at the booths.

Don't get me wrong I still believe she can, I still believe some people can. I say this because on two occasions I have had communication with the other side. Not through a medium these people have come to me when I needed them. I also have on two occasions had a psychic ability or was able to tune into it for some reason. In no way am I saying I am psychic or a medium as I am not. I think it happened when I most needed it to. on one occasion I didn't just hear my loved one i saw them on a second occasion I only heard and felt the loved one guiding them. This all leads me to believe that some people have a gift some people are able to hone that gift and unfortunately yes some people are scam artists. I have just seen to much and read too much about sylvia to believe she is a scammer. Although I chose not to go to her show I still believe.
