Losing to Russia at the WJC, losing to Slovakia at the World's, and having Captain Canada try to pick a fight with a girl ...there's a reason your biggest hockey cheerleader is a senile old man on CBC who dresses like a freak: no sane person would ever claim Canada is a great hockey nation anymore.
