    Hello all,

Curious - are there other sports or activities where men and women compete against each other as equals?

In regards to sports, genders are separated for a reason. If women want to compete against men, it'll be their loss. Why is it we don't see women fighting to bridge this? They don't because they won't even qualify for a majority of the events. And the ones that do, won't finish on the podium.

I wonder if the idea of a transgender pageant would be out of the question?

Nascar -- look at Danica Patrick. Some people don't consider driving around in circles to be a sport, but whatever. You still have to be in great physical shape to drive those cars at 180 mph.

...oh ya...the intellectual contests (spelling bees, math contests, literature...) would be fair game, I guess?

I'm still having trouble coming up with one.

Actually there have been cases where girls have fought to be included in boys hockey teams.. but so far only at the very young levels.

I think any sport where the smallest man competing is below many women, there could be a chance.

20th out of how many?? And no, I don't think she has the best backing.

What garage is she with?? How well do her co-drivers do??

And ya better be in darn good shape to drive a car at 200 mph for 500 miles.

In Cup her cars come from Stewart Hass Defending Cup Champion Her team mates have won 3 or 4 races already this year.

In Nationwide she Drives for JR motorsports. I think Her Teammate was 3rd in the championship last year. I don't know if they have won any races this year but they did last year.

She is the Most OVER RATED female in sports.

The only tracks that they race at 200 miles per hour for 500 miles are actually easy by comparison they require more Mental toughness than anything.

43 cars start every event and yeah their athletes. I've debated that with valid links.

You have proved what you know about NASCAR, you'd best stay quite.

Stewart Haas, teammates Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman in Sprint.

JR Motorsports....that's little E's team, in Nationwide.

You simply can't get a better ride.

It's about sponsorship, which she has in spades, for a driver in her position not so much big talent.

The next little while will tell the tale whether she can actually do this.

A male that is at the same level as her would have a much, much harder time achieving the same level of recognition....kinda like a female goaltender.

    She's good....for a female.

When gender re-assignment becomes a sport, I'm sure it'll be moved.

Nope, especially as it makes another point.

Women and men are NOT the same, as so many would have us believe.
