Default Churches shift positions on abortion

Two years before the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, the largest Protestant group in the United States made a powerful statement on abortion.

The Southern Baptist Convention wanted to make it legal.

The members of the convention listed in a 1971 resolution when it should be allowed: “rape, incest, clear evidence of severe fetal deformity, and carefully ascertained evidence of the likelihood of damage to the emotional, mental, and physical health of the mother.”

So, God is obtuse when it comes to abortion? Or is this just another case of Protestants making it up as they go?

    Answer seems pretty simple, really.

    Indeed it is.
''Our culture has accepted two huge lies: The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.''

1971?? Good grief. Are you that desperate to find poop? If you want poop, let's talk about the Borgias. Actually, we don't have to go back in history. Look at the mess the Vatican is in now.

Funny the Catholics didn't always think life began at conception either...Use to be 40 days for boys and 80 days for girls...called the quickening...

So, God is obtuse when it comes to abortion? Or is this just another case of Catholics making it up as they go?
