Face it... the US gets just as much flack from a large percentage of members here too.

You are soooo right Lynys, I will personally admit to "picking" on RWGR and/or the U.S. as my family has plenty of family there and it is fun. Between Canada and the U.S. our countries are relatively tight, so why not continue the bantering here ? It is all meant well, for most.

I don't think anyone has missed the fact he has been banned again. As far as dropping the subject, .... it is positive and friendly discussion with no one going off track and no name calling, ..... simply a mirage of opinions.

Not planning on giving it a rest soon pal. The troll in question is American. He does not get benefit of Canadian laws. Get it? Also, there is no fine line. I was very clear on the division between what he does and actual discussion.

There are no Canadian Laws in question here, ..... whether he is American or not is inconsequential. The line is fine because no one has yet to make your opinion the last word on right or wrong. He is entitled to be stubborn, .... just as you and I are stubborn. If he were a Canadian and still hated this country (as I am sure there exists among Canadians), would he still be subject to your ridicule?

Handy, read my post #20 then come back and try defending his antics by throwing the "freedom of speech" blanket over it. He has cast doubt as to how my Mother raised me, he has to average 5 or 6 anti Canada posts a week and he discuses nothing. He attacks our country, ridicules our military, politics, laws, medicine, teachers then people try to figure out what has happened to some of the older posters? Come on, really?

Freedom of speech is not a blanket. If it was, there would be no wriggle room for the mods. The fact they have to use it as a benchmark for allowing us to talk freely is not something to be taken lightly. Since he has some familiarity with most of the topics you list, he is entitled to his opinion. If he speaks on something he has no clue of (such as your personal life and your mother's role in your life), then he has crossed the line and should face the consequences. We (myself included) complain about censorship yet wish to bestow the same effect on another member without validation.

It will be a sad day when we cannot tolerate another person's in-tolerances.
