So, I'm guessing when I say that when someone says 'for a while' I think that's it's not permanent?

I'm predjudicial? Well yeah. I've stated my prejudices very clearly. "Americans have no right whatsoever to continually bash Canada on public media over a period of years." That's my prejudice.

I see the words "run down" used many times in this threads, yet nobody has explained what it exactly means to "run down" something.

It's not slander if it's written, it's libel; and it's not libelous if it's true.

To put the thread back on topic (which some "Teflon-coated" members seemed to have hijacked), business bashing on a BBS is a lazy cowards way out.

The obvious result is that no one really takes a BBS seriously anyways, so why bother if there will be no impact. All you are doing is making the BBS owner party to libelous statements (only proven true or false in court).

You would be better served to stand on the public property in front of the business telling would-be customers your tale of woe, and let the cards fall where they may. If you are sincere and truthful in your information, you have nothing to worry about, ...... if not, expect the police to move your sorry butt from the site.

The difference with the two scenarios is that you actually have to put your face out there for all to see in the second scenario, ..... in the first, you get to hide behind your monitor and tickle yourself.

Regardless if you agree with the policy or not, I think everyone has been warned of the consequences, ... if you want to challenge Soonet, have at 'er, ..... been nice knowing you.
