    Default A debt owed

68 years ago this very day a bunch of kids launched the invasion of Europe and fraught to the death so we might sit here and complain about the petty little things that bother us to-day.
Thank you to those who came back and a tear for those who did not. A debt we could never satisfy.

My father went in to the beaches as a gunner in a tank. Come home safe, but not without scars. He would never talk about it much.

We honour those who bought our freedom.

The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.''

My father never talked about the war at all either unless asked....he too came home safe but I often wonder what it was like for him. Whenever I asked him about things he did or saw I got one of two answers...."I was a cook" or "I built a bridge" He passed away 7 years ago and I have so many pictures of him and others during the war. I don't know who the other men are in the pictures. I was thinking of donating them to the legion. I also have his discharge papers.

If you are serious about the loan to the Legion let me know. The pictures and more-so the discharge papers would look great in the museum cabinets. I have a name for you if you wish just PM me. All displays are in fully alarmed cabinets.
