I don't like fresh cut fries unless they are skinned first, I hate eating them and the skins are all tough and hard. I love west side's poutines, big portions and they use fries with no skins..lol

I know the feeling. Potato skins are just gross.

Yup seems when you order fries or poutines with fresh cut fries you end up with a lot of small potato skins and they are tough and sometimes undercooked. I should add i have never been to the "new" place" so my opinion is not about them...Feel as though I have to point it out as a lot of people were banned for voicing their opinions and a "unknown business threatened to sue..lol

Hmm...I must be the nut case. When I have a baked potato I EAT THE SKIN TOO. Of course I have scrubbed them really well before they were baked. To me...a lot of vitamins are in that skin. Am I the only baked potato skin eater?

The problem I find also, with a lot of restaurants(not fast food), is that they don't cook the fries long enough. Nothing worse than limp, undercooked fries. I would imagine with fresh cut, they'd be fairly crisp. I want fries now.......

I know lots of people who eat the skins of baked potatoes, appetizers, fries. I just dont like them myself.. When I eat a baked potato I just eat the inside and throw away the rest..lol

I'll throw one up for Gus's Pizza on Queen St. Ordered wings and fries from them lastnight, and they were definitely skin-on fresh cut fries. Darn good too!

I love the skin on fries, baked or just potato skins with melted cheese and barbecue sauce. *drools*

The food at Sizzlers is excellent. My only concern is the AMOUNT of fries they give. It is very difficlt to "clean your plate" as there are far more than most can eat. My concern is with the WASTE factor. Sure...give a nice helping as people in this city really do appreciate a nice size order...but...don't overdue the portions. Great food and a friendly attitude will ensure this new business continues to do well. CONGRATS.

I agree, we do that too. Deep fryer, home cut fries, with or without skins - we do both.
