seen any good movies?

anyone seen any good movies lately. we just rented 'goon' and 'the help' and i loved both of them. really didnt think i would like goon but it was actually very watchable, and of course the help was just wonderful. my hubby and i were both born in '63, which is when the help was set. we found it staggering to see and think about how that happened in our life time. not long ago, but under 50 years ago! it is something you know, but seeing the movie and how the characters were feeling and seeing on the movie the racism and ignorance it brought it more into perspective again.

oh, and another movie, 'in time'. what a cool concept that one was - i recommend it just for the whole concept that makes you think how important time is.

and one i cant wait to see is ' rock of ages' not a cruise fan, but the whole thing set in the 80's. seeing the big hair, the mullets the clothes and all that great music...i cant wait to see it and i hope its good. i may even go to the theater for the first time in well over a year for it.

I can't argue with any of those choices, .... all pretty good flicks.

The Avengers was too over the top and too predictable, .... but good FX.

Just saw Sleeping Beauty and the Huntsman, ... Charlize Theron (sp?) was a perfect wicked step-mother. I found myself counting the dwarfs to see if there was seven of them.

MIBIII wasn't too bad, .... Will Smith seems to be getting too old for those parts already.

I can't recall the last "new" movie I've seen. Oh wait, yes I can. Breaking Dawn. :P

Seriously though, I have a hard time enjoying new movies, because they are the same stories over and again. Maybe I'll check out a couple of recommended ones from this thread.

The Hunger Games is not as good as the book. Kinda sucked. The help was good, hangover 1 and 2, Bridesmaids was hilarious, Eyes wide shut was good.
