    Default Gas

I got a flyer from Canadian Tire that says Gas today is 5 cents off posted price per litre from 7 am to 7 pm. Are any other Gas Stations in town doing this? When I looked up gas prices on Local 2, they are all pretty much the same, including Canadian Tire.

I think they take the 5 cents /litre off when you pay, it's not going to be posted as their price. That's my guess

Maybe it's a sign that gas will be going to a ridiculous price for the long weekend. Wouldn't be surprised.

The posted price on Local 2 as of 11 am was recorded at 6:58 am prior to the sale at Canadian Tire.

    You'd have to explain that.

In Norther Ontario, gas is 1.18 down south. The Barrel is at its lowest prices in years yet our prices do not drop much.

Almost 0.40 cents/L cheaper across the river when usually there was only a 0.25 to 0.30 a litre difference before.

So we're being gouged locally. They may want to reconsider knowing this is a border town. I agree the savings are huge but that's not what initially got me heading over for petro. It was the price hikes at peak times of travel.

I am curious as to who sets these prices seeing they appear to be high if the not the highest in the province at times? How many people would consider staying on this side if the prices matched those of southern Ontario?
