Treat everybody the same, is all I would like to see.

Oh, yeah, they might also justify their costs, too. Even care staff at the schools wonder where all that money goes.

How does it compare with that Beard character's name?? Didn't see you dissing him.
So a question is now a form of dissing? I don't think it is, but everyone has their own interpretation. As for characters names, what do the forum rules say in regards to this? If they say it's OK (or nothing at all), then I suppose we'll have to follow the rules in which you actively enforce.

As for the possible name calling, I guess Blunt should have the final say on it.

I was asking you if you really thought adding "sky" to Blunt's name was a form of name calling. If so, it's pretty mild around here.

As for character's names, there has been no response from other mods in the past.

It wouldn't bother me, but then again, it wasn't directed at me. Which is why I won't speak for another member.

And yes, I've seen much worse.

Here is why this is the suspicion. No church can afford these obscene rate hikes. So they are going to lose ALL the revenue that would have been possible had the rate hikes been moderate. To any clear thinking business person, this is an eviction notice, not a rate hike. It is in TDSB's financial interests to be more reasonable.

But their rationale is totally absurd. As in the example I cited (if you are serious about discussing this, then deal with the examples I am giving) from currently paying $12,000 per annum to charging us $90,000 per annum. 2 hours per week. That is renting two gyms for $1730 per Sunday.

Did you know that we can lease a complete building (3000 square feet) for less than 1/2 that price, and we would have use of the building for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (which is what we will probably end up doing)

So can you tell me with a sincere face that the TDSB cannot rent to the church for less than $1700 per Sunday without losing money?

Thus we suspect there are other motives at play for charging us prohibitive fees.
