Unhappy LINE PAINTING...a thing of the past ??

Is there no budget money to repaint the lines on our streets? I have yet to see a crew out doing this. Some streets have had the little dots put on but that's all. It is becoming a guessing game trying to figure out some lanes...pity the poor visitor trying to navigate our streets.

If you can't remember where the lines are from one year to the next, should you really be driving?

That's a good point. It's not like tourists ever come here and I know that everyone who lives here is familiar with every road in the city.

Maybe if the snow plow guys didn't 'make busy' and throw sparks by scraping pavement on nights when we don't have snow, there would still be some lines left from last year?

They have to finish filling in all of the potholes before they can really do much with the line painting... and, honestly, if we can make it through the other 6 months of the year without seeing pavement at all, why is not seeing the lines on the road such a big deal?

I have only seen one individual driving the vehicle for painting lines and that is a friend of mine. When he is off the unit is out of service til his return. He is on long term with a serious illness and they must be training another to take over as my bud had years left before retirement and no plans where in place I guess. Looks to me to be a pretty simple straight forward job so it really can't be that taxing.
