Did a certain paperboy not recently proclaim that Canada Post was a money maker?

Canada Post workers have been far overpaid for what they do.

I for one will laugh at them the next time they threaten to strike.

Pretty soon they won't be able to hold anyone's Pension(etc.) ransom.

I can see once a week mail delivery in the near future.

E-Mail and Purolator has served me very well now for many years. I have not sent anything out snail mail for at least 10 to 12 years or more now. I believe I have only my charities contact me now through the mail for receipts. Even my billing is done electronically.

I still use regular mail alot, I prefer to have my bills sent to me in paper form, I don't use online banking and know alot of other people who don't use online banking, I usually get mail everyday, I prefer to send real paper cards to my family and friends and not e cards, my parents don't use the computer so without Canada Post they would be lost

Package delivery will be around for a while, but I think as the older generations start to disappear, the door to door mailman will be joining the ranks of the dinosaur, the dodo bird and the milkman.

Forget home delivery...put those mailboxes on the corners...a lot of fat people could use the exercise going up the street to retrieve their mail.

The best part is that most people only get mail once or twice a week Via Canada post.

Meanwhile the Posties get paid based on the length of their route not the actual time put in.

That calculation includes walking in and out of peoples driveways and walkways not across their lawn.

I actually get real mail 4 times a week, on top of the junk mail, I don't do anything online, everyday I walk to the end of our street pick up my mail and the people on our street are older and they like to go to the mailbox everyday, I don't think I could be a letter carrier, I for one don't like to be walking around all day in the heat or in the cold and especially not when its raining out, I am more the sit in the house with the air on when its hot and in the warm house when its cold out and I am not about to go out if its raining out if I don't have to, lol

Purolator was started by, run by, then sold by Canada Post so it is not that surprising when one has some back ground.
