Still great!! Lots of room at the end of the driveway despite the snow. Hope they're here to stay!

I too think they are awesome. If I break the boxes down properly it only needs to go out every 4 to 6 weeks. Couldn't do that before.

I see fewer and fewer people even attempting to put them out to the curb, since the weather got bad.

It will be very interesting to see if the end result is a reduction of tonnage entering the recycling facility, as a result of this change. Don't know if they even track these kinds of numbers, or make them accessible to the public, but I suspect people may be doing less recycling overall. Either that, or they are holding onto recycling in their homes and garages, and waiting for better weather, to slowly ship it out.

I don't think any less are going out. But if they only need to go out every few weeks, it may look like it. All of my neighbours are using them and they are all pleased to only need to put them out monthly.

We have no problem with ours. I manage to fill our cardboard bin up every week, so it goes out weekly at our place.

I love it. I only have to bring it out every two weeks and it rolls perfectly fine. What's not to like?

I put mine out every 3-4 weeks whereas it was weekly before.

Stupid things. While pulling it through 4' of snow I tripped when I walked backwards into the car. Banged my head on the fender. The bin then bounced off the car and landed on me giving me a black eye. Some of the rust that came off the car got in my eye and I was covered in soda cans with snow down my shirt. Tried to get up, slipped on the ice and scraped my shin on the stupid bin lid. Now it's just a minefield out there with slippery snow covered cardboard and soda cans in all the snow. Hate the bins!

The proof will be in the pudding. If total tonnage of recyclables drops as a result of the new bins, you will have the truth, and I will be correct in my assertions. Simple as that!

Or it can prove that the average recycler has yet to understand that the bin can be pulled like a wagon if they don't shovel their driveway and clear a spot for it. I also see the snow hasn't stop people from pushing their grocery carts across parking lots a much greater distance. We live in such trying times.........

Speaking of pushing shopping carts across parking lots....anybody witness the yahoo's trying to run across the parking lots at the Walmart downtown since they installed those locking mechanisms on every cart? They automatically lock up when you attempt to leave the property with it! LMAO!!! Apparently there is a warning sign somewhere, thanks for providing entertainment to the general public as you run across the lot with your loaded cart full of neatly bagged goodies, then fly ass over tea kettle when it locks up at some invisible line. ;-) Spreading yourself and your groceries all over the place while you curse obsene profanities at Walmart for having the nerve to do such a thing to you! LMAO!

Not me personally, that's one of the kid's "chores". I did however remind them to do it. I watched them once or twice, didn't seem to notice them having any difficulty with the task. I may have laughed (out loud) as the dogs for some strange reason think that when they pull the thing out it's some game to see if they can trip them on the trek out to the end of the driveway....quite entertining actually.
