Default Looks like prices on high end AMD cards are coming way down

With the new R9 boards coming online, it looks like high end AMD cards are on a fire sale.

Would be a nice card if it wasn't plagued with crossfire and stuttering issues. And the R9 290 and 290x are supposed to be in the price range of about 750$ or so.

That is true, but I am not sure how they implemented the crossfire on the 7990 since it is a dual GPU solution on 1 board.
I have been looking at the R280 Toxic version. 2 of those in crossfire would be very nice.

Framerate stuttering and xfire are still issues. I'd stick with either a single high end radeon (the 290x) or go for sli if you are hellbent on a dual gpu solution. Even the prospect of 6 AAA games for free wouldn't get me to go back to another xfire setup.
