Default You Can Have Him Back

How do we solve a problem like Justin Bieber? We just get rid of him!

Thatís the logic behind a petition ó which at the time of writing had racked up more than 74,000 signatures ó urging the Obama administration to revoke the Biebsí green card and send him back to his native Canada.

Its the drugs and alcohol from your country that made him that way. Why don't you keep him?

I forgot Canada was drugs and alcohol free.

Someday soon Bieber will implode and join the long list of drug infested performers who either die from drugs or commit suicide. Many have gone before him.

Their shelf life seems shorter today. It seems the implosion took much longer in the past.

Our consumer-driven-throw-away society has now infected the 'stars'. Will we ever see an actor with the staying power of a Pacino or DeNiro again, among others? Will music ever see acts, solo or group, that last thirty years? Forty? Seems unlikely, as acts popular last year are already on the way out, as the latest cookie-cutter replacement is shuffled into line.

Of course, if most of these actors, singers, or groups had any talent that would probably help their cause a bit.

Ever heard the term "one hit wonder"??

Do you think the term is only a few years old??

It was probably used in the early fifties and descibed many, many singers and bands that came and went.

The more hings change, the more they stay the same.

    Nope

Great. But what does that have to do with acts and artists that are not one-hit wonders?

Beiber seems to be heading for a crash landing; he has had six top-ten hits. So is he a "one-hit wonder"? Nope.

Lady Ga Ga seems to be heading for a crash landing; she has had thirteen top-ten hits. So is she a "one-hit wonder"? Nope.

Miley Cyrus seems to be heading for a crash landing; she has had seven top-ten hits. So is she a "one-hit wonder"? Nope.

Bieber isn't a one hit wonder. Something like this won't change that either. He had fans standing outside of the courthouse screaming they loved him, his face is all over the media and mags...

This might be the best thing for his career.

so what. all of my all time fav bands of the 80's jammed all their proffits up their noses and into their arms. we still liked them. an egg throwing incident and a minor assault charge? i refuse to let the media dictate who i'm supposed to hate. i don't listen to his music or like his "look" but i still won't hate him. i am more upset with the media taking cheap shots than a kid behaving better than i would with that kind of wealth at that age.
