We don't have air conditioning! This house stays cool. Too cool! Not too many days in a summer where we are uncomfortably hot!

Extremes always get me. I have three of four puffers but they don't do much in the winter. I found air conditioners are so loud at least the ones we have are, but the dehumidifier seems to help.

Go get your portable AC's now before the heat wave hits and everywhere is sold out.
It happens every year, many are left sweating their asses off because they waited too long..
12000 btu covers about 400 sq. ft., so, make sure you don't under buy.

Air conditioning was the start of the ruination of society!

People used to be outside walking and conversing with neighbours. Looking for shade under the old oak tree! Kids would be outside from dusk to dawn, only to come in to eat or sleep!

Nowadays, people turn on their air conditioning, turn on their 60 inch TVs, play around on Soonet or Facebook all the while not knowing any neighbours!

The dogs were barking, the birds were singing, the kids were playing! It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Evenings spent sitting on the front porch drinking iced tea and talking to neighbours who passed also kept crime down as too many eyes in the dark upset the ne'er do wells.
