Thread: Windows XP or Windows 7 discs

  1. #1

Default Windows XP or Windows 7 discs

Does anyone have a copy of XP or 7 that I could borrow/purchase? I need to re-format my desktop.

    1) I strongly suggest not going with windows xp. It has no support at all from Microsoft. After day zero ( when Microsoft stopped supporting it) a myriad of exploits came out with no fixes.

    2) If your PC has a valid windows COA on it somewhere ( 25 character alphanumeric key) you can download your copy of windows via bit torrent or through Microsoft. Put it on a formatted thumb stick. A few clicks and you're done.

If you need instructions on installing from a USB stick. Post here so you don't get stuck installing unnecessary third party software.

You can get them for free, just follow the instructions below.
Avoid using third party installation media as they may have been modified.

You can use phone support to re-activate your installation if it is not an OEM installation. If it is OEM it will activate itself if you use the standard OEM keys.
